“At an age where our students’ brains are developing so rapidly, enrichment programs like afterschool’s APEX provide extended learning prospects for students to explore in greater depth and complexity. Our ECSD afterschool programs allow students to pursue their own areas of interest all the while preparing our students to be college and career ready.
As a kick-off to a weekly program, solo performer, Tim Collins was on site on March 3 to work with our Ernie Davis Academy APEX students. Tim (introduced Theater to our students) and will offer a Theater and Creative Writing lesson every Thursday. Tim Collins has been working as an actor, writer, and educator since 2000 and has performed his solo shows for more than 1,000,000 students, parents, and teachers nationwide.
Achieve*Prepare*EXplore (APEX) Project is a free after-school program for middle years students and provides positive academic and social opportunities for students.”
