Actor, playwright, and Vernon-Verona-Sherrill alumnus Tim Collins returns to Upstate New York in early October to perform educational one-man shows addressing bullying prevention. Collins will perform at six Mid-York libraries throughout the week of Oct. 1. All performances are free and open to the public.
Collins performed "Standing By, Standing Up," his one-man show about bullying and cyber-bullying prevention, for an enthusiastic audience at the Oneida Public Library on March 27. When Collins returns in October, he will perform both "Standing By, Standing Up" (aimed at students in grades 4-12), and "No More Bullying," a new educational show addressing bullying and bystander empowerment, targeting students in kindergarten through grade 5.
Parents and educators are encouraged to attend any of the performances. A question and answer session will follow each performance, giving audience members a chance to discuss bullying and related issues.
The October tour schedule is as follows:
Monday, Oct. 1, 7 p.m., "Standing By, Standing Up" at the Cazenovia Public Library.
Tuesday, Oct. 2, 6:30 p.m., "No More Bullying" at the Sherrill-Kenwood Free Public Library.
